Discover Queen Of Sheeba

One of the standout features of Queen of Sheeba is its ability to combine traditional Ethiopian cooking with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. It’s clear that the restaurant’s team is passionate about preserving the authenticity of Ethiopian food while making it accessible to a diverse crowd. The menu here is a vibrant array of classic dishes that highlight the bold flavors and unique spices characteristic of Ethiopian cuisine.

Diners can start their meal with a refreshing portion of Kitfo, a dish made with minced beef that's either served raw or lightly cooked, then seasoned with rich spices. This dish is often paired with a spicy Mitmita sauce, creating a flavorful experience that’s unique to Ethiopian culture. For those who prefer a heartier dish, the Doro Wat, a spicy chicken stew served with hard-boiled eggs, is a fan favorite. It’s a staple in Ethiopian households and restaurants, and Queen of Sheeba does it justice with perfectly balanced flavors and a deep, rich heat.

A key aspect of Ethiopian dining is the communal nature of the meal. Queen of Sheeba embraces this tradition by serving most dishes with a large, soft injera, a spongy sourdough flatbread used to scoop up stews, salads, and meats. The injera acts as both a utensil and an integral part of the meal, soaking up the delicious juices from the food and offering a texture that complements the flavors.

For those unfamiliar with Ethiopian cuisine, the experience of dining at Queen of Sheeba is both educational and enjoyable. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and happy to explain the origins and preparation of each dish, adding to the overall experience. The restaurant offers various options for vegetarians and vegans, with dishes like Shiro (a flavorful chickpea stew) and Atayef (lentil stew) that are rich in flavor but light in texture.

The drink menu also complements the food offerings, with traditional beverages like Tej, an Ethiopian honey wine, adding a sweet, spicy element to the meal. For something lighter, their T’ej offers a refreshing contrast, perfectly balancing the spices of the food.

What sets Queen of Sheeba apart from other dining spots is not only the food but the family-like atmosphere. It’s easy to feel at home in this cozy space, where the friendly service makes each guest feel like part of the experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time diner, there’s always a warm welcome waiting for you.

For dessert, don't miss the Baklava, which is a perfect way to end a satisfying meal. The sweet pastry is flaky, crunchy, and lightly sweetened, providing a perfect contrast to the bold and savory flavors that precede it.

When it comes to reviews, Queen of Sheeba stands out as a local favorite for those seeking an authentic Ethiopian experience. The combination of fresh ingredients, traditional preparation methods, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit. Whether you're dining alone, with friends, or celebrating a special occasion, you can always expect a memorable experience at this West Palm Beach gem.

Visitors are consistently impressed by the quality of the food, the attentiveness of the staff, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. It's no surprise that this restaurant has earned a loyal following and continues to attract food lovers who want to dive into the rich and diverse world of Ethiopian cuisine.

If you’re in the area and looking for something new or want to try a unique dining experience, Queen of Sheeba is the place to be. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where you can connect with flavors that tell stories, and where the food brings people together in the most delightful way.

  • Had a wonderful experience at Queen of Sheba with my sister and cousin. Some of the best Ethiopian food - dare I say THE best - I've ever had. Dining in, surrounded by artwork and listening to Ethiopian jazz, one really feels as if they've transported to another world. Get yourself a large platter of various things to share with friends, you really can't go wrong!

  • The lady was so nice, welcoming and embracing; she made us feel at home. She's not just a business lady; she's a real and genuine mother. The food was great! We recommend anyone to go there and enjoy the food and family time. May God bless you, your family and your business.

  • Phenomenal! We have been searching for Ethiopian food since we moved to florida. My husband loved the chicken & the beef stew. The vegetarian platter is what everyone should get! The yellow lentils, green beans and cabbage were exceptional - everything was great, though. My husband loved the red lentils and the collards. It was pretty packed by noon on a Saturday, but they were very kind and accommodating. We will be back! :)

  • Everything is was very good. I didn’t have a chance to take pictures as my family ate all the food. Only when we got to dessert I had a moment to snap that one picture. Make sure to make reservation ahead as the restaurant cooks food pending on number of reservations. This is family own and operated restaurant. We most definitely be back for another delicious meal.

  • This was a wonderful experience and it was my first time having Ethiopian food. The service was excellent, so welcoming, made you feel like family. The spiced tea was great, was like Christmas in a cup. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was good, the red lentils and cabbage dish were my top favorite veggie dishes but loved all of it. The Doro Wot was so yummy, it's a very special dish to Ethiopia. The restaurant is beautiful, I loved the art work and it just transported you to another place. Felt like I was on vacation. I will definitely be back.

  • This place is a gem! My husband and I went for the first time a few weeks back, and since then, we’ve already gone back once and plan on going again this weekend. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection, the people that work here are always super friendly. I also love that it’s a mom and pop shop. You can tell they take pride in the food they serve as it’s always delicious. Highly recommend.

  • Get your passport ready! If you ever wanted to know the flavor & culture of Ethiopia, you will have it here, without having to stamp the passport! Queen of Sheeba is on 7th & Sapodilla, next to Heart & Soul Park. The food here is unbelievable. Very delicious & unique taste explosions. I loved my Lentil Stew & Ethiopian Tea! Beautiful decor & cultural art & artifacts. Do call & make a reservation. Open Wednesday-Saturday, but they open & close for lunch & dinner. Dinner opens at 5:30pm. Be prepared to eat with bread as your utensil...easy to clean your plate! Also, know that the experience is to be savored, so relax & take your time & enjoy.

  • My experience at Queen of Sheeba was absolutely wonderful! The food was incredible—everything was homemade from scratch, moist, and packed with flavor. This was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine, and I’m so glad this was the place to introduce me to it. The owners were warm and welcoming, taking the time to explain the menu and dishes, as well as sharing a brief overview of how they started. It added such a personal touch to the dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning! A word of caution: the neighborhood is a bit rough, and parking can be challenging since there are only a handful of spots. I’d recommend making a reservation to ensure your visit goes smoothly. Despite these minor drawbacks, it’s a dining experience worth having!
